  Whether the sample is the named peptide: the observed mass matches, within the instrument's stated tolerance, the mass that peptide must have.

  What it does not tell you

  It does not say how much of the sample is that peptide, or what else is in the vial. A vial can be unmistakably BPC-157 and sixty percent BPC-157 at the same time; that is the purity question.

• PurityRP-HPLC, peak-area normalisation at the stated wavelength

  What share of the chromatogram's total peak area is the main peak, reported as a percentage.

  What it does not tell you

  It does not confirm WHICH peptide the main peak is — that is identity — and it is not the milligrams in the vial: water, counterion and fill weight are invisible to it. Net peptide content is a separate add-on.

• Certificate of analysisThe Record

  The measured lines on this order as an issued document with a record number anyone can check at /verify without an account.

  What it does not tell you

  It certifies only what was measured on this order. A certificate with no measurement behind it is not a certificate, so this line cannot be bought on its own.
